Where are you from: Perth, Scotland’s newest city, 2012.

Occupation:
Retired banker, started with British Linen Bank in Hawick, 1967. Met my wife who also worked for the bank, which eventually became the Bank of Scotland. Worked also in Kelso, Forres, St. Andrews, Turriff, Arbroath, Montrose, Auchterarder, St, John St. Perth and Marketgate Dundee.

Age, family details:
62, married to Anne since 1974, no family.

What is your club:
Bank of Scotland Perth and District (secretary).

Proudest achievement in curling:
Bank of Scotland Championships – won twice, 1982 and 2007.
Province Champion of Champions at Perth, 2000.
Wilson League winners (Forfar), 2005
Scottish Rotary (Ramshead) winner, 2004.

What are you doing now in curling:
Secretary of my own club.
Treasurer of Perth & District Province.
RCCC Area 8 Secretary & Treasurer.

What motivated you to come on tour:
Enjoyed the RCCC tour to Switzerland in 2009 and have also curled with Scottish Rotary tour to Canada in 2004. Enjoy the camaraderie and meeting new curling friends.

What are you most looking forward to about the tour:
Seeing parts of Canada I have not been to before. Playing some good games of curling against what I know will be tough opposition. Getting to know the guys on the West Tour better and hopefully regaining the Strathcona Cup.

Any specific roles in the tour planning and/or during the tour:
My role, would you believe being an ex-banker, is treasurer of the West Tour. The main tour treasurer, David Paterson is a good friend of mine.

Other sports/interests:
Golf – 12 handicap at Murrayshall.
Watching rugby union, debenture holder at Murrayfield (anyone want to make me an offer?).
Gardening, Theatre and Concerts, Travelling and Visiting places of interest, life member National Trust for Scotland.
