Being selected to represent Scotland in the Strathcona Cup 2013.
What are you doing now in curling:
Curling with the above clubs, RCCC Assistant Coach and involved with Wheelchair Curling through Scottish Wheelchair Curling Association.
What motivated you to come on tour:
Having read the Rev John Kerr’s book about the first tour to Canada in 1902-1903, I felt it would be a great honour and experience to follow that Tour and represent Scotland in the Strathcona Cup. Also, having supported Scottish teams in Canada, I was keen to be given the opportunity to play competiitively against Canada.
What are you most looking forward to/what have you enjoyed most about tour:
Looking foward to meeting and curling against our Canadian hosts. Also, catching up with Canadian acquaintances who I have met when in Canada spectating at the World Championships in Victoria, Edmonton and Moncton. I’ve enjoyed meeting my fellow tourists and the cameraderie which has developed within the Tour.
Any specific roles in the tour planning and/or during the tour:
On sub committee sourcing baggage for Tour.
Watching football (too old to participate now), travelling, reading, gardening, walking.
