Name: Bob Carruthers
Where are you from:

Age, family details:
I am 57 years old, married to my wife Margaret (retired relationship manager with Bank of Scotland) for over 30 years.
We both curl and also are keen golfers and members of a nearby Championship Links course.
What is your club:
I curl with New Abbey Curling Club and have been a member for over 30 years.
Proudest achievement in curling:
I have had a great deal of pleasure and met a lot of interesting people at the various levels and competitions I have taken part in. One of the proudest achievements was being selected for the Strathcona Cup Tour 2013.
What are you doing now in curling:
I am a Skip within my club, and play second in a rink that generally competes in the Scottish Senior Championships.
What motivated you to come on tour:
I have been fortunate to have played against the last two Canadian Strathcona Touring Teams when they visited Dumfries Ice Rink and also have curling friends who have been on The Strathcona Tour in Canada and listening to their experience whetted my appetite to apply for this Tour.
