Name:  Graeme Maguire

Where are you from?
Born, Edinburgh, now living in Haddington, East Lothian which is a historic market town 20 miles to the east of Edinburgh.

Occupation?
I am a self employed architect and have run my own small office for over 30 years. We have specialised in scientific labs and hostel accommodatin for army and navy veterans. I am also very involved with health and safety on construction sites.

Age, family details?
I am 56 years old and have been married to Gill for 28 years. Our son, Finlay is 22 and is currently studying for a Phd in micro biology at the Natural History museum in London.

What is your club/are your clubs?
My mother club is Haddington and I am the secretary, treasurer and webmaster for the club (www.haddingtoncurling.blogspot.com). I am also a member and webmaster of Aberlady Curling Club.

Proudest achievement in curling?
I was part of the successful scottish team at the 4 nations tournament in 2011 and 2012.

What are you doing now in curling?
Preparing for the Strathcona Cup 2013 tour.

What motivated you to come on tour?
I love Canada and have many Canadian friends, some met during the last incoming tour (my bridesmaid is also Canadian). I also would like to pit my meagre skills against the might of Canada.

What are you most looking forward to/what have you enjoyed most about tour?
Finally getting there and starting to play ! I also want to see and play in as many curling rinks as possible.

Other sports?
Many years ago I was a member of the British Ski Team and competed internationally at world and european competitions on snow, grass and artificial surfaces.

Other interests?
My Triumph motorbike and motorcycle racing. I have organised european motorbike tours for 10 years and ride 10 months of the year. I am a keen follower of all wintersports.

Other than a fondness for being bright (colourwise) and loud speak to me and find out more.
